Clean Water Restoration Act -

Bill S 787

A bill to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to clarify the jurisdiction of the United States over waters of the United States. This would take control of local waterways away from the states and give control to the federal government.

Heritage Research Institute Presents

Start your Independence Day Celebration - with a reading of the Declaration of Independence!

The Declaration of Independence is the document that gave birth to our nation.  Today there are fewer Americans that have read this important document than any other time since our nation’s birth!

For over 150 years July 4th was the day that Americans all over our great land gathered to celebrate our nation’s birth – and those celebrations started with a reading of the Declaration of Independence.  Help restore this important tradition by inviting your family, friends and neighbors to this annual patriotic event!!

In addition to the reading of the Declaration, we will honor our nation through songs and the pledge of allegiance.  Special acknowledgement will be given to our veterans and active duty military personnel.

Location:               The Historic Lapeer County Courthouse, Lapeer, Michigan

Time / Date:           9:00-9:30 A.M.  July 4th

Attire:                       Patriotic and Historic Dress Are Encouraged!

In Case of Inclement Weather Please Bring Umbrellas!

The numbers are in. The Tea Party at the courthouse on April 15th had over 600 people attending. Hats off to Danette Lowery and all the folks who worked so hard to stand up and let the people in Lapeer county be heard. Great Job!
